Therapy can be even more effective when you have the right support network around you. I can provide personalised training and practical guidance to help the people involved in your care develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to support your communication, eating, drinking and therapy goals.
Training can be delivered on a one-to-one basis or to groups, and can be provided to relatives, friends, carers, wider organisations, multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), schools and other settings.

How to support someone in the community
Communication partner strategies
Learning how to support and use AAC effectively

Yes. Training aims to provide practical strategies and guidance that attendees can confidently apply in everyday situations. Where appropriate, resources will be provided to support learning.

Yes. We can provide both generic, and person-specific dysphagia training. Training may include - understanding dysphagia, recognising signs of difficulty (e.g. choking and aspiration), how to follow eating and drinking recommendations, safe mealtime support and implementing strategies provided by the Speech and Language Therapist.
